Today in MWC Hoops (2-26-13)
Back to square one. A 1-3 day that moved me back to 26-26 on the season.
My only win was New Mexico and the points over CSU. Double heartbreak watching the Rams squander a 6-point lead down the stretch from a Kendall Williams onslaught.
I whiffed badly on UNLV at Wyoming. Nevada scored a late hoop to beat me at SDSU. And they are waiting for me at Bellevue with their oxygen masks after I picked Fresno State at home to cover the points over Boise State.
I checked my record when picking teams over the season. Here’s what it looks like:
Air Force 6-2
Colorado State 6-3
New Mexico 5-4
Boise State 4-3
San Diego State 2-2
Fresno State 1-3
Nevada 1-3
UNLV 1-3
Wyoming 1-3
Maybe those should be the real standings.
Today’s Game
Wyoming @ Air Force (-3.5) – First time they met, Air Force jumped out to an early lead and kept their nose in front on their way to a 57-49 win. The Pokes are reeling since Leonard Washington sprained his ankle. They are going through some genuine dog days with illness and injury. Air Force is coming off a bye. And they are awfully good at home. I really like the Falcons in this one.
