Mock Draft from CBS Sports Jeff Goodman

December 13, 2012

With final exams taking away from actual games being played, is there anything better than mock NBA drafts for 2013!

Jeff Goodman, basketball expert for CBS Sports, published his latest look at the 2013 Mock Draft and it features some interesting stuff from a Mountain West Conference and COlorado State perspective.

Goodman’s Mock Draft

First of all, four MWC players are listed.

They are led by UNLV freshman Anthony Bennett, who is a lottery pick at 7. He is the 3rd highest one-and-done, behind Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel and Alex Poythress and ahead of UCLA’s Shabazz Muhammed.

Next comes MWC stalwarts Jamaal Franklin of SDSU and Mike Moser of UNLV, both of whom are now listed as 2nd round picks.

The surprise…

Colorado State’s Colton Iverson is listed as a late 2nd round pick. And even better, he is listed ahead of Minnesota’s Trevor Ibakwe, one of the players that Tubby Smith decided to cast his fate on ahead of Colton.

I guess we’ll start to see scouts in Moby like we did during the Jason Smith days.
